iPhone Obion calls ring into different phone ports on Obitalk 202
«

I have two phones separately connected into an Obitalk 202 two ports. When I dial the Obitalk number from the iPhone Obion, two phones ring at same time. How do I selectively ring one port while keep the other port silent? Thank.

Calls from OBiON Apps come into an OBi via the OBiTALK Service. The OBiTALK Service InboundCallRoute defaults to ringing both phones on an OBi202:
Voice Services -> OBiTALK Service -> InboundCallRoute : ph,ph2
The following should allow you to selectively ring PHONE 1 or PHONE 2 by dialing '111' or '222' from the OBiON App:
Voice Services -> OBiTALK Service -> InboundCallRoute : {290123456>111:ph1},{290123456>222:ph2},...
where 290123456 is the OBiON App OBiTALK number.

I have a setup in the space like, {(290123456)>(xx.):SP3},{(290123456):aa},{ph,ph2}. Should I change to {(290123456)>(xx.):SP3},{(290123456):aa},{290123456>111:ph1},{290123456>222:ph2}, or just {290123456>111:ph1},{290123456>222:ph2}? Thanks.

I also need Obi attendant function option besides the "111" and "222". How to add the Obi attendant back? Thanks.

I have tried your way. It works perfectly. Thank you so much.
One more question, I have two GV numbers on Obitalk 202. I made calls from a landline to the two GVs separately on SP1 and SP3 without problems. However, when I was trying with iPhone ATT number and Obion to dial to GV on SP3, the calls did not go to reach Obitalk, instead it went to Google Voice. When I made same calls to GV on SP1 from the ATT number and Obion, there are no such problems. How do you come up with a solution? Thanks.

You should have ended up with:
{290123456>111:ph1},{290123456>222:ph2},{290123456>(Msp3):sp3},{290123456:aa}

In advanced settings for your cell phone number in your Google Voice accounts, change:
Direct access to voicemail when calling your Google number from this phone?
Yes (default for mobile phones)
to
No (requires pressing star during greetings -- default for non-mobile phones)

Again, it is now about Obi Attendant. When I tried Prompt 3, the number I entered ringed a phone. I picked up the phone, sometimes, not always had Obi Attendant's prompts. Is it normal or I was not patient enough?

Option 3 allows entering a callback number. After entering a callback number, the OBi should hang up and initiate a call to that number. There is a bug in the Auto Attendant such that option 3 fails to initiate the callback with no error reported if the call was initiated by the Auto Attendant.

Dear, I use Callcentric for international calls on SP2 of Obitalk202. There are no problems with dialing out 011xxxxxxxxxxxxx without dialing **2 first. The calls go out perfectly well.
If I use Obion to make international calls by dialing 011xxxxxxxxx. Callcentric does not receive the call, which is disconnected right away. I have to speed dial Obi_Attendant first, then prompt 2, finally dial 011xxxxxxxxxx # to get through Callcentric. How do you set up to make direct dial 011xxxxxxxxxx bypassing Obi Atterndant ?

If you configured your OBi through the OBiTALK Web Portal, it configures the OBi such that OBiON Apps can only make single-stage calls through the PrimaryLine of the OBi.
If your PrimaryLine is not SP2 and you modified your PrimaryLine's DigitMap to automatically route 011+ calls to SP2, this will not work on single-stage calls from OBiON Apps if the OBi was configured by the OBiTALK Web Portal.
If you would like total flexibility in making calls from OBiON Apps, you might wish to consider this configuration:
Single-Stage Dialing Through Any OBi Trunk

I use the portal. I can dial using pre pended digits from the Obion app just like from the phone port (without custom calling routes). I never go through the AA.
- My Obi110 set as the default gateway for my Obion app.
- Dial **2+number to call the number using sp2 service.

We've been here before. You keep forgetting that you
do
have a customized OBiTALK Service InboundCallRoute that is not the one built by the OBiTALK Web Portal.
The configuration generated by the OBiTALK Web Portal does not support **1/**2/**3/**4/**8 from OBiON Apps.

And the single stage dialing stuff isn't customized?
?
Why not give the info for the customized call route instead of pushing the single stage dialing and trying to steer people away from the portal.
I will get the info and post it.

Single-Stage Dialing Through Any OBi Trunk
is
the customized OBiTALK Service InboundCallRoute and was designed such that it
can
be implemented from the OBiTALK Web Portal OBi Expert. There is no requirement for direct access to the OBi.

RonR is much better at configuring this than I am. He is also great at critiquing what others post so if there are ways to improve it I hope he helps out.
This configuration works for me. I have what I consider to be a minimal customized configuration. I have no trusted callers except my Obion apps, and I do not use the AA at all. Perhaps we can use it for a start.
Some of these will likely not need to be changed in your current settings.
Phone Primary Line -> SP1
Obi set as the default gateway for Obion app
Obitalk DigitMap
(<ob>xxxxxxxxx|obxxxxxxxxx)
Obitalk Service -> InboundCallRoute
{(Mcot)>(<*1:>(Msp1)),(Mcot)>(<**1:>(Msp1)):sp1},{(Mcot)>(<*2:>(Msp2)),(Mcot)>(<**2:>(Msp2)):sp2}, {(Mcot)>(<*8:>(Mli)),(Mcot)>(<**8:>(Mli)):li},{(Mcot)>(<*9:>(Mpp)),(Mcot)>(<**9:>(Mpp)):pp}, {(Mcot)>(Mpli):sp1},{(Mcot):aa},{ph}
User Defined Digit Map -> cot
(290xxxxxx|290xxxxxx|290xxxxxx)
these are the numbers of my Obion apps. I have multiple Obion apps using the same default gateway (via a "leap frog" process) you will only have one number (290xxxxxx)
From my Obion app I dial as if using the phone port for the sp1 service. I dial **2 for calls using the sp2 service, **8 (Obi110 only) for Line.
I am still looking to see if there is anything more.

You just posted a copy of
Single-Stage Dialing Through Any OBi Trunk
.
What was the purpose of all this?

The purpose is to give the desired information needed to remedy the immediate situation.
......... this will not work on single-stage calls from OBiON Apps if the OBi was configured by the OBiTALK Web Portal.
Sounds like the desired results cannot be received using the portal for configuration, not true.

The OBiTALK Web Portal will not generate a configuration capable of single-stage dialing through anything other than the PrimaryLine. A user must manually configure the OBi to do anything more (just as you did using the very thing you're arguing against). The user may use OBi Expert or access the OBi directly to accomplish this manual configuration. The end result is the same regardless of which method you use to manually configure the OBi.

I am not arguing against anything, that I know of. Unless it is your blanket statements that tend to insinuate that one cannot achieve the desired configuration using the portal.
The Obi Expert Configuration can only be accessed at the portal.
