Successfully able to install/run OBIApp via Wine in Ubuntu 10.10. Issue is with running Ekiga softphone client. OBiApp reports the client registered, though the contact value makes me think is reporting the issue. See attached image as the contact is reported as <sip:Obi#@localhost:0> (the port number 0 being the key). I tried to change settings in Ekiga app, but that has not helped. Thought it was my install, but was able to connect and make calls from SFLphone VOIP client also installed on the same laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thank you

Having the port 0 indicated in the connected user name status may not be an issue but a confirmation. Per the following Barix SIP client user manual, the 0 indicates the default SIP port is being used (5060):
//www.barix.com/downloads/file/SIP_Client_v0023_User_Manual_PDF/9991/2331/

After adding local loop address to the Outbound Proxy setting of Ekiga, SIP client still registers and when dialing OBI110's number or using the speed dial number, the call status shows Ekiga attempts to call the OBI device (confirmed with the number displayed in the status). It attempts to call twice for some reason. The first attempt shows call connected but drops after 7 seconds, the second starts right after but that drops as well.. I cannot confirm via audio as for some reason none of the audio settings is allowing me to actually hear the audio. Anyone know what could be causing the audio issues and how to add audio options? Detecting device isn't helping.

With SFLPhone client I am unable to have any buttons from the dial pad register when the OBI attendant answers, so downloaded/installed Jitsi. Strangely when dialing OBI110 from Jitsi, it opened 2 call windows. First had the OBI attendant and the second reported a busy signal before disconnecting. Thought this is similar to Ekiga's double dialing, but after exiting and restarting Jitsi, it is not double dialing anymore and is working happily with OBIApp. I am able to dial out, take calls and make almost any connection (personal learning) using Jitsi.

I do have the option of using Jitsi on my Ubuntu 10.10 but would like to work with Ekiga.. After failing a call with Ekiga, it only reports "Cannot connect with remote host" but it attempts to dial and unfortunately I have to also deal with audio which is not working. Any suggestions?

Thank you
