Import Phonebook - how does it work?

Just got my Obi100 and it's working great with GV. Also downloaded Obion on my iPhone 3GS and it works fine for making outgoing calls via the Obi100 and GV. Was disappointed to see no phonebook integration between Obion and either the iPhone's contacts or GV contacts. I see a button in the Obion app to "Import from Phonebook" but am not seeing that it does anything. Am I missing something here? Here's my workflow--
1. Go to Obion's Contacts screen and click Add button.
2. On the Add screen, click Import from Phonebook
3. All that does is take be back to the Contacts screen??? If I then click one of the existing Obion contacts, rather than copy that info back to the Add screen, it starts calling that contact..... huh?
Sure wish Obion could add similar contact integration like Talkatone has. Any plans to do that?

Ok, I just installed the iPad app and got the Import Phonebook button to work on that one. Went back to the iPhone app and uninstalled it. Re-installed it again, did a hard reboot of the iPhone, logged into Obion, clicked Import Phonebook, but still nothing is pulling into the empty Contact list in Obion.
Argh. FYI-- Obi100 Firmware was just updated yesterday and is at the latest version.

I agree with others, phonebook needs to work more like talkaphone and just leverage existing iphone contact list - NOT import it.
I have 2500 contacts and growing so just handling the conflicts on import would take all day. Not to mention keeping new contacts in synch.
This is a must have.

Just downloaded the app to my iphone 4s and it seems to import contacts fine. I clicked on contatcs and started typing in a name, and then it asked me if I wanted to import all contacts and I did. Phone quality/Clarity seems fine so-far, on first phone call. Will update in future. thank you

One bad thing about Obion importing the numbers instead of using the phones existing list is that any changes made in one place will not automatically duplicate in the other.
You can make new entries in your phones contact list and then use the import function again and only the new contacts will be added to the Obion list. But if the contacts are not exactly the same it will import the same contact again. So if you make any changes or edit a contact in the Obion list, it will again import the original from the phones contacts.
