is anyone able to install obion on their iphone 3g (the older iphone)? i'm using whited00r os 5.1 on my 3g, and i haven't been able to get itunes to copy this app onto it. if someone has some older versions of obion in ipa or deb, please give me a link. thanks so much,

I can't address your specific situation, but I do have ObiOn running on a 3G running 4.2.1 ( 5.12.01 baseband) jailbroken with snowbreeze, unlocked with UltraSn0w and using a pay as you go T-Mobile sim.   Never done the whitedoor thing, something I might want to try out sometime.  Isn't it really just iOS 3 with iOS 5 code added?  I know very little about it.

I just made a post trying to figure out how to configure all 3 of my families iPhones.

In my case installing it is no problem. I cant get it to acknowledge incoming calls to GV however... Same setup almost - 3g, 4.2.1, but I don't use a SIM so I don't need the unlock (just jailbreak and activate).
