Is there a simple way to dial on the softphone and perhaps answer the call using headset, but then switch (share/forward) the call so a person in the room can pick up the handset and listen/talk?

So that the call "remains active" in the headset and on the handset, whether the handset is on or off the hook?

Does this involve forwarding or transferring to another voice service?Or will echoes be and added problem?

Thanks for any help, education you can give.

This would be a 3 way call or an attended transfer. Not sure how to do that with the softphone. I will play with it, but someone else may have the answer first.

The phone attached to the OBi has barge-in capability.

The phone attached to the OBi has barge-in capability.

Barge in from the PHONE Port does not appear to work with OBiAPP for PC.  The caller hears a busy tone.

Barge in from the PHONE Port does work with other OBi's however.

Thank you for considering my question and for your replies!

Interesting.   It's not quite like auto-dialing via a 1200kbd by sending AT... commands to PC modem  on COM1 20 years ago and then picking up the handset?

Is the difficulty in the OBiAPP for PC or in x-lite?   I mean, can I make a call on the headset/x-lite and then put it on hold and forward it to ring the phone on the OBi110, perhaps using speed dials?

My particular question is not crucial. I can simply use the headset.   But, still,  having a small field of vision (10 degrees in one eye),  it's easier for me to use the x-lite interface to dial, than to look from a screen to the phone keypad,  back to try to find the number on the screen, etc...      And, it would be nice to be able to transfer a call to the house phone -- or from the phone to the OBiAPP/x-lite

I'll try it tomorrow and report back. ...Or, if anyone already knows if/how this works and cares to share, I'd appreciate reading it.

Thanks again!

Onward and upward...

Not even close.

It's only possible to make and receive calls when using OBiON Apps and X-Lite/OBiAPP for PC.

And, it would be nice to be able to transfer a call to the house phone -- or from the phone to the OBiAPP/x-lite

Calls can be transferred from the OBi PHONE Port to OBiON Apps and X-Lite/OBiAPP for PC Using Blind Transfer.
