My Obi110 works like a champ.  I can send/receive calls with an analog phone connected to the device perfectly.

I can dial OUT with X-Lite - it's configured just like the step-by-step guide on here says.

When calls come in they go to the device - is there a way to have calls come to X-lite when I'm not in my office with the Obi110?

Thanks in advance.

The easiest way to accomplish this is to pick up the phone attached to the OBi110 and dial the Call Forward All star code followed by '**9' and the OBi soft phone number and the '#' key.

E.g.  *72 **9 290 123 456 #

When you want to stop the calls being forwarded to your OBi soft phone number, pick up the phone attched to the OBi110 and dial '*73.'

When I tried to do call forward using *72 **9 290 xxx xxx# (on the handset attached to Obi device) it says "there is no call route available to complete this call".

ITSP Digitmap is (1xxxxxxxxxx|<1972>[2-9]xxxxxx|011xx.|xx.)
Phone OutboundCallRoute is {(<911:9xxxxxxxxx>):SP1},{<#:>:li},{**0:aa},{***:aa2},{(Mpli):pli},{(<**1:>(Msp1)):sp1},{(<**2:>(Msp2)):sp2},{(<**8:>(Mli)):li},{(<**9:>(Mpp)):pp}
InboundCallRoute is {(290xxxxxx)>(xx.):SP1},{(290xxxxxx):aa},{ph}

I restarted ObiApp and middleware, now the call forward works fine.

Thanks.

I setup the app, and it's great to call out, but I can't seem to be able to receive calls.  I found somewhere else else about changing the call routing on the service level, but It's still not ringing my softphone.  I tried forwarding to my softphone as mentioned above, and still can't get it to work.  I'd really like to get my softphone working for when I'm on trips or away from my home office.

anythingindian,

Welcome.

Make sure you have this setup:

Voice Services->OBiTALK Service->InboundCallRoute

{pp(ob290111222),ph}  <-- Replace "290111222" with your number
Explanation: {Ring Softphone,Ring Phone}

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.  This is what I have in
Voice Services->OBiTALK Service->InboundCallRoute

{(290123456)>(xx.):SP3},{(290123456):aa},{ph,ph2}

Do I need to include what you have before the {ph,ph2}
It seems to have my number before it.  I didn't want to mess anything up.  Just got it today and was trying to set it up.  By the way I wanted to mention that it was the OBI202 with 4 GV voice lines coming in. Don't know if that you would make a difference.

If you are having trouble receiving calls on your app that come into the Obi on SPx, you need to change the X_InboundCallRoute for the SP to direct the calls to your apps softphone number. You do not need to change the callroute of the Obitalk service.

the callroute you gave {(290123456)>(xx.):SP3},{(290123456):aa},{ph,ph2} says:
Calls from 290123456, on the Obitalk Service, that include a valid number, will deliver the call to that number using SP3. other calls from 290123456 will reach the aa. all other calls coming in on the Obitalk Service, will be delivered to the phone ports

If you want incoming calls from one of your SP trunks to fork to your phone ports and to your softphone you need something like this for your Voice Service -> SPx Service -> X_InboundCallRoute

{ph,ph2,pp(ob290123456)}
this will deliver the call to the phone ports and the app. If you want to fork to more than one softphone you add them like above and separate them with commas
{ph,ph2,pp(ob290123456),pp(ob290xxxxxx),pp(ob290xxxxxx)}

Thanks for the information.  So before I go deleting anything.  I wanted to confirm the directions.

For each Service SP1-sP4 (since I have 4 lines) I need to change this line for each one:
{(x.2401234567|x.3011234567):aa},{ph1,ph2}

I believe the 1st two numbers are from my trusted callers, so I need to change it to:

{(x.2402742112|x.3015345918):aa},{ph1,ph2, pp(ob290123456)}

For each line.

I am a little confused as the post by QBZappy had a different location to add/change that to.  I would only need to change it where you mentioned?

Yes, making that change will send the calls to the phone ports and that softphone number.
Each SP trunk has an X_InboundCallRoute. That is where you tell the Obi where to send those calls.

anythingindian,

To be clear, any incoming calls you wish to be forwarded to the OBion app should have the bolded part:

{pp(ob290111222),ph,ph2}

Icoming calls can come over various services
ITSP InboundCallRoute (Sip)
ITSP InboundCallRoute (GV)
OBiTALK InboundCallRoute
POTS-line InboundCallRoute (OBi110)

The example was intented to show how to fork a call specifically from the OBiTALK network. The idea remains the same for any other trunk you wish to fork (forward) to.

Thanks for the instructions. I'm getting a better handle on it on how some of the basics work on it now.  I made the changes, but I don't seem to see it taking effect.  I was curious and wanted to log into the Obi to compare the settings with the online settings, but I couldn't get the obi to show up.  I dialed ***1 to get the IP, and put the IP into my browser and I get "The requested url was not found".  Any suggestions?

I got curious if the settings were being passed on to the OBI properly yesterday, because I've been using the account based config to make changes.  I made changes to all of the ring tones yesterday, but decided to change it back to the OBI default, and they didn't seem to carry on over to the OBI.  Either way I can't seem to log into it now, and not sure how to get access into the OBI.

The only reason it shouldn't get passed to the device is if the provisioning was changed from the default. If you did not change it it should still get provisioned from the portal.

make sure you get the last number for the IP address. The last number is usually missed because of the way it runs together with the next statement.
example - 1 9 2 . 1 6 8 . 1 . 1 0 4your dhcp..... the 4 would  likely be missed.

To directly access an OBi202 from WAN side, you must first enable access from WAN with IVR option 30 -- see page 27 of admin guide.

Yes, I forget about that on the 202.

Thanks,
I was able to access the wan side after enabling it through the IVR.  I rebooted it after changes and it seems to have fixed the problems and working fine to everything now.  Thank you all for your assistance.  This is a pretty powerful product.  Is there any way to remotely reboot the OBi from the online interface?  I don't seem to find that information in the advanced settings.

Any change you make using the Expert configuration on the OBi portal using "Submit" should reboot the unit. Try it and keep an eye on the OBi.

Thanks for the info.  It seems to reset it.  I think it's a little weird as the call receive is a little inconsistent, and not sure what the issue might be.  Anyway I will keep an eye on it and see what happens.  I had  a last question about the ObiApp.  Can it be run from more than one computer?  I use NCH Express Talk on my laptop for when I'm on the road, but I also have a server that I run that has NCH IVM on it to take messages basically be a little more of an easier to use IVR, and route the messages accordingly.  Can I install the same obi app from my account to this one as well?  Or do I need to create a 2nd OBI account for this, and link it to my current account to do this?  I found the following links, but just found it a little confusing.

Not sure if there is a step by step on how to do this from the beginning.
