I am running the latest version of OBiON on Android.  I started with 1 OBI110 and the app worked perfect.  When I added a second OBI110 using the OBITalk Dashboard I got the error ‘Login Error – Please check your User ID and Password‘ on the phone using OBiON.

I deleted the new account on OBITalk Dashboard and it worked perfect again on OBiON.  I reinstalled the new/second OBI110 and I get the error ‘Login Error – Please check your User ID and Password‘ on the phone using OBiON.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I tried many options.  This must be related to having two OBi devices on OBiTalk.  The temporary fix is creating a new OBiTalk account and adding the second OBi device to that account.

Now each account has one device and everything works.  I hope this is fixed in a future version.

From the OBI Dashboard, My Endpoints, select your softphone (usually the first device listed). On the Device Configuration page, is "OBi Voice Gateway" set to the right OBI device?

I tried all three.

Blank
First OBI110
Second OBI110

I got the same error with all three.

I was getting this same error "Please check your username and password" when attempting to connect my Droid, this forum and the ObiApp on my PC. The Web Obitalk username (my email) and password worked fine, but I was also unable to create an account on this forum because it was also saying my password was incorrect. I emailed support...and then was able to fix my own problem. (Isn't that how it goes)

I tend to use very secure passwords, the initial one I used contained a "&" in it and it was about 9 characters long. While this worked without problems for the ObiTalk account there must be different password criteria between all the other Obi connections. I simply changed my password to about 6 characters long and no special characters. I was instantly able to log into the Droid app (after setting up the softphone), this portal and the ObiAPP.

Hope this helps others.

How many OBI devices are on your account?

I got this error as well, here's the answer: Some cell phone carriers will not allow Voip to pass over their network for obvious reasons. Connected to WiFI, the OBION app works and registers. Through 3G it will give the error. My carrier is Straight Talk. Honestly, you would only want to use the ObiON app with WiFI if you were in a place that had no cell phone service but WiFI.

I have one Obi110 and when attempting to log in using the latest version of OBiTALK for Android I repeatedly get "Login Error - Please check your User ID and Password".  This happens on a phone using 3G and Gingerbread Android.  When I switch to using WiFi I can login successfully.  When I change to another phone using 3G and Froyo Android I can login successfully.  So the problem seems to be limited to when using 3G and a newer Android version.

Oh? I can pass VoIP through my ST phone. But then I have one of the higher-end phones they offer.

This seems to be my problem also -- will not work on 3G/4G.  Any updates?

If that's you please try:  SIP TCP with TLS
