ACQUIRING SERVICES problem solved.

Note: I posted this at the end of another post and am reposting so it's easier to find.
I just talked to a really nice tech guy at Obihai. The ACQUIRING SERVICES problem can be fixed on an AT&T iphone by resetting the network settings.
GENERAL >> RESET >> RESET NETWORK SETTINGS
It worked immediately. You will need to re-enter your wifi passords. Thanks ObiHai.

I was having the issue that obitalk would work on my iPad but not my iPhone.
While running a reset on the network in my case would work, it would be because the connection was then defaulting through the 3G network instead of going through wifi.
I was able to solve my "acquiring services" issue by specifically allowing ports:
80 TCP
10000 TCP and UDP
10120 TCP
through the firewall.
Once these ports were allowed, the application worked on my iPhone.
The obitalk windows application and iPad application always worked for me. It may have been due to a random port being selected for the initial outbound connection. I'll have to test more.

The reset did not work for me, I am still stuck at Acquiring Service, and as the poster mentions this method has the consequence of losing all your stored WiFi logins.
Iphone 5, AT&T, tried 4G and LTE, IOS 6.
ver 1.2.2 (2294.1) of the app

I can also confirm OBiON does not work for me on either ATT IPhone5 or VzW IPhone 5 with IOS 6.0.1. I also tried the reset network settings and this made no difference. The app will not work on LTE or Wifi.
I would really like to use this app, but it appears to be completely busted on IPhone5 with IOS 6.0.1

I cannot sign in with my @gmail email address username - Acquiring Service.
Via 3G:
I cannot sign-in via the @yahoo or the @gmail email address username - Error asks me to check un/pw.
