This post is for setting the ObiOn settings into the NCH Express Talk Options to make it work
1) Click the Options and choose the tab Lines as shown, enter the information as follows

a) The Full 'Friendly' Display Name: - Enter anything you like, for example I entered
ObiTalkb) Server(SIP Proxy or Virtual PBX): - Enter
127.0.0.1 - This means that Express Talk Softphone will communicate with the ObiOn PC software installed on your computer. 127.0.0.1 is the localhost
c) SIP Number (or User Name): Enter the 9 digit ObiTalk number starting with 290 you record down in post#1 part b. For example I entered
290 123 456d) Leave the password
empty. This is because up till now, we are joining the wire between the softphone to the ObiOn PC software so there is minimum information needed as both software are on the same computer. The actual password is stored in the ObiOn PC software which you setup in Post #1.

2) Click the tab Network and enter the values as shown. These are typically
5060 and
36000. Then click on the "Run Network Setup Wizard" button and the software will try to open the incoming ports so audio from the internet can reach your computer. When window firewall shows up and ask you for permission to allow the ports to be open, press allow. When the Wizard completes, press the Enter button and your settings are all done!

3) Check that the Express Talk softphone has now registered with the ObiOn PC software. Dial some numbers on the softphone and you will see some information in the Call state....

This ends the guide to setup the softphone, If the softphone dials, then you have entered the values correctly. If the call doesn't go through, check your Obi devices settings, especially under the call status to see if the number you press in the softphone is received at the Obitalk side correctly. Check firewall settings etc
Please feedback if the settings doesn't work on your side.
