Title: Obi 110 Behind Proxy Server Setting Post by: The_Eggman on August 31, 2015, 07:14:13 am I started a thread here http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php#8 but it's probably more appropriate in this index. I have an IPCop firewall running a transparent proxy server on port 8080. I can get all the functions on the OBi working except for its connection to GV (OBi keeps "backing off" connection to GV). I have all the necessary ports open, I'm not using 2FA, and I have verified the GV authentication info. DNS on the device is set to Google's DNS. It works fine when I put the OBi in the DMZ or when I turn off the proxy server, but I can't figure out how to set it up to work behind the firewall/proxy.
I've tried adding the proxy IP and port to the ITSP Profile A SIP - Proxy Server settings and the same information to the Outbound Proxy settings, and I also tried leaving the port at 5060. No luck. Can someone point me to some instructions on how to best configure the OBi to work behind a proxy? Title: Re: Obi 110 Behind Proxy Server Setting Post by: SteveInWA on August 31, 2015, 09:49:20 am It isn't going to work. Just let the OBi sit outside the proxy. There's very little security risk.

Thanks for the advice. I've tried "excepting" it from the proxy/URL filter and it still doesn't work. Given that, I think the only way to make the OBi work is to put it in the DMZ.
