Title: Obi110 Replaciement Use Post by: chatterbox on September 19, 2016, 10:42:38 am Hello,
I am a long time user but a novice to "Advance Configuration". I have a Obi 202 in the US and a Obi110 in Jamaica. The Obi110 has a local land line phone service attached to the Line Port. I make calls from the 202 into the 110 AA, select option 2 and place calls to local numbers in Jamaica. If Obi110 is coming to EOL: Can I continue to use the 110 as I am doing now? If for some reason, I need to set up another 110 for the same kinda usage, will those on sale now do the job? If not what is the alternative device/set-up? Thanks Title: Re: Obi110 Replaciement Use Post by: SteveInWA on September 19, 2016, 10:55:29 am Yes, you can continue to use your existing 110; Obihai isn't going to do anything to disable them.
If you want a spare, you can buy a 110 now, until the end of the year, when they will no longer be sold. If you don't buy a spare, and your 110 dies, you will be able to use a 200 or 202 with the OBiLINE USB<-->RJ-11 dongle. There were reports of call quality issues with the dongle, but no recent evidence has been added.
