Title: Callcentric or Google Voice music on call waiting
Post by: mo832 on December 27, 2016, 05:30:07 PM
I was just told by one of my callers that they heard music while on hold from a call waiting call. I was not aware that my system had this capability or that it was a feature I had access to. I am guessing it could only be the phone handset (a basic Vtech cordless), Callcentric, or Google Voice. I have only the CC incoming line (forwarded by GV), and don't purchase any of the features like music or anything else.

Does anyone know if GV or CC have this "music on hold" feature as part of the basic service, and if so, is it something they only recently added?

I looked at the handset documentation and it says nothing about music, so I don't believe it is the handset. CC help talks about IVR music, but I don't have any of that.
