Hi:
I'm sure I have seen this somewhere years ago, but I can't find it now. I'm using Google Voice, and I want to redirect 911 to my local emergency number. I'm using the default dial plan right now:
(1xxxxxxxxxx|<1>[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|011xx.|xx.|(Mipd)|[^*#]@@.)
Can anyone let me know what I need to add to have 911 redirect to a local number? I'm planning to first test it by setting it to my cell.
Thanks,
Blobby
I mean DigitMap when I say dial plan, good thing this is the noob forum! ;)
Put this at the beginning of your OutboundCallRoute under Physical Interfaces-->Phone 1
{(<911:3335551212>):spX},
X is the number of the sp trunk you want the call to go out on.
Yes, definitely test with your cell number first.
Thanks! Since I just have one trunk I made it sp1 and it worked just fine to redirect to my cell. Now I'll try it to my local non-emergency number and call them to make sure they have the address for my phone number.
The following can happen. "All operators are busy, please leave a message or call back later. If this an emergency hang up and dial 911". Been there done that. Pay the $12 ~ $15 a year.
Additionally see if your county/city provides the services of www.smart911.com
