Title: On hold
Post by: bigohshin on July 31, 2017, 04:20:36 PM
I'm moving a customer with 8 users from a "centrix/att" landline business call center type phone system.
I'm now using a sip provider with softphones trying to duplicate the landline system.
They need ability to see if users are on hold with caller. So, they can pick up that caller when they become available. Sometimes they have 3 or 4 callers on hold that need to be taken care of..
I don't see this ability with any softphones.
Am I going to have to go with an IP phone to get this functionality?
I do have another user on an OBi202? Can anyone suggest a cordless or phone to work with OBI that will allow the ability to choose from callers on hold?
Thx,

You need a business-class ACD (Automatic Call Distributor (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automatic_call_distributor)) solution.  You can't cobble this together with just some OBi phones.
