Title: Adding additional phones
Post by: HeartStrong07 on August 31, 2017, 09:27:00 AM
So I currently have a OBi 100 set-up in the my home office via Google Voice, and I have CenturyLink/Tell as a Landline for other phones in the house.

I think (I believe) I can 1) discount CenturyLink, 2) connect something to their box and 3) and then use the sockets within the house for voip throughout the house. Is this true?

Big picture. I like the service in my office, and want to cancel the Landline but not sure how to install VOIP phones in other parts of the house.

Thanks!

Yes you can connect the PHONE socket on the OBi100 to your house phone wiring so that all the house phones can make and receive a call. An OBi is specified to drive a total Ringer Equivalent Number of 5.

And yes, you MUST ensure that the house wiring is electrically disconnected from any other phone service.
