Title: Can I plug a landline into Obi200's phoneport?
Post by: zmusic on November 28, 2017, 06:43:34 PM
I bought a Obi200 and trying to use it to forward my landline call to Google hangouts. I've tried to plug my land line to the phone port and it didn't work. The web admin page says my phone is unhooked. And every time I make a call to my landline, the obi200 just flash a red light on it's power light and restart.

I already try to set the phone port as pstn and it still not working.  Don't know what is wrong. Is obi200 not supposed to plugin landline and I need to buy Obiline for this purpose?

Oh.my.god.no.

The phone jack on the OBi is to plug in...wait for it...a phone.  Plugging in a telephone line can fry the electronics in the OBi.  They even have nice a nice diagram on the little piece of paper in the box.

Get an OBiLine if you want to connect a PSTN (land line).  Or, get an OBi 212.
