Post by: adnaanusa10 on December 04, 2017, 12:00:58 PM
Hello everyone

removed the long post as I got a good response from member drgeoff.. my main issue is I am able to get the incoming calls now,  I can pick up and hear and talk but I am not able to make outgoing calls..with my obi200 registered to Google voice.  Please let me know what I need to upload to start to diagnose the problem if this is resolvable..

Thanks

There are no relevant details in your long post which enable anyone to diagnose the problem.

A softphone number is automatically allocated to every Obitalk account.  You cannot delete it.  Just ignore it.  It is harmless and has no bearing on your OBi200.

What happens when you try to make a call? Do you receive a message or some type of tone?

You can remove the softphone from your list of devices.
Click Edit Profile on the left column of the dashboard.
At the bottom of the page uncheck View Softphone on Dashboard.
Click Submit Query

This doesn't delete the softphone, just removes it from the list.

Thanks You for your response.. and Thanks for the suggestion on how to get it removed from dashboard.. for now I think I will ignore it..

To answer your question.. whenever I dial a no it just does a prolonged dial of number sound and at the end it just disconnects showing as if the number is busy and not able to connect.. earlier when it was working when I used to dial it just used to be number beeps and ring the no and I was able to talk.. sorry if I was not able to make it clear in telling..

I did try this no  **9 222-222-222 to reach the Echo Test Server and it is same it just disconnects and not able to connect in the sense and gives beep beep beep sound that's all

Thanks

Edit:
I am uploading a file as to what I hear when I dial in no..

Thank You

Obis do not support pulse dialling.  Either switch your phone to tone dialling or if it has no such switch get a modern phone that has tone dialling.

My guess is that the switch on your phone has been inadvertently moved.  You could not have got your OBi200 working with GV using a pulse only phone. Also the recording has tones when you press the phone keys but the clicks are a dead giveway that it is sending pulses to the 200.

Thanks for your reply again.. wow I didn't know how the dail thing changed.. but I changed the Dail Mode from Pule to Touch Tone and I am also uploading the file as to what it says now.. it is saying service is not configured where as in my obitalk it shows GV is setup and I am also able to receive calls.. just no outgoing .. at least now it says service is not configured.. appreciate your help as to how to proceed with this.

My telephone set is this one: AT&T (CL81214) DECT 6.0 https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B01M10O9XX/ (https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B01M10O9XX/)

Thanks

New Post:
( while I had the post above which I don't want to delete or wanted to share.. I tried to configure GV again in SP1 and everything got fixed.. see below )

I logged into my account and checked I was testing lot of things and left GV configured in SP2 .. I removed it from there and added it as SP1 and now I am able to make outgoing calls and also receiving calls.. I think the main issue was Dail Tone then for me it somehow got changed or I accidentally changed it thinking lets use the fancy feature..  :(  Thank You very much sir.. you got me back into business.. damn should have tried these forums long time back.. but little did I know and I think I need to learn to properly convey what I want on forums and not annoy people with my stupid long stories.. sorry and Thanks for your patience..

Thanks everyone for your help
