Title: Replacing Error 480 Temporarily Unavailable With Busy Signal
Post by: Steve56 on December 07, 2017, 12:03:12 PM
I've recently made the switch to the Simonics GVGW and must say I'm quite pleased. However, one thing I've noticed has changed after switching to it from originally using the Google Voice connection natively is that an error 480 is played (complete with SIT tone at the beginning) when a number that is busy is called. Needless to say, this is causing quite a bit of confusion in the household with people thinking either the phones are down or they misdialed instead of knowing the number is simply busy.

Is there anyway to alter that recorded message to play a busy or reorder tone instead?

Interesrting. "Busy here" is supposed to be 486. I've been using Simonics gateway for a little over a year but maybe I never hit upon a busy number. You might try UNchecking the box "PlaySITOnCallFailureCodes" and "PlaySITWithAnnouncement" under the phone port settings and see what happens. Hmmm...
