I have not been able to do a firmware upgrade, either manually or automatic. And my GV is not working. Not sure what I should do. Any ideas on how to trouble shoot. No response from support on this.
No it is not EOL.
Have you tried the easiest method? Go to your dashboard at obitalk.com and click the yellow triangle against your 1032.
Yes, thats not working either
Here is my device configuration as shown in the status

I have tried, automatic update using yellow triangle in obitalk
I have tried the manual update using the yellow triangle and pressing cancel
I have tried ***6 update on phone
I did a factory reset to update using above three.
I am now running out of options to figure out how to update. My software version appears pretty old too based on the forum topics. Is there an intermediate version I need to update before the latest update would work?
Download FW here:
http://fw.obihai.com/OBiPhone-5-1-7-4666EX.fw
Log directly into the OBi1032 using the local interface.
Key the IP address of the OBi1032 into a Web Browser and hit Enter
The UserID and default Password are both "admin".
Click System Manage then Device Update
Under Firmware Update click Browse and find the downloaded FW
Click Update
Hi, Tried the update 5.1.7-4666 and it does not work.
With phone connected to obitalk, it keeps asking me to reboot.
Removing the phone from obitalk dashboard (and resetting auto provisioning to defaults), I get the message
System is busy, please try again later
Try installing this one:
http://fw.obihai.com/OBiPhone-5-0-0-3497.fw
It's an old release (June 2016) but see if your phone accepts it and report back.
I did a factory reset again, and tried loading this 5.0.0.3497 firmware. Still same message "System is busy, please try again later". It should have nothing going on as this was right after factory reset. When I start the firmware update, I see the icon that it is downloading/receiving the data. And right after the message the download/receive icon goes away.
Hmm, have you tried following this factory reset procedure: https://www.obitalk.com/info/faq/obi-ip-phone/phn-factory-reset
If not, give that a try and then try updating the phones firmware again. If that doesn't work then i'm afraid your OBi1032 must have developed a fault.
That did not help either. :(
Try re-installing the firmware that is already installed on your device: http://fw.obihai.com/OBiPhone-5-0-0-2436.fw
Does it re-install or do you get an error still?
I cant seem to download it. Maybe it is not there on the server

Yes, that link returns "Not found".
Sorry, I got the 4 and the 3 the wrong way round! here is your current version: http://fw.obihai.com/OBiPhone-5-0-0-2436.fw
The next firmware official release was 5.0.0 (Build: 2486) and can be downloaded from here: http://fw.obihai.com/OBiPhone-5-0-0-2486.fw
Thanks :). I was able to upgrade to 2486. However, I am unable to upgrade to 5.0.0.3497 or 5.1.7. Can you post me a list of the firmware so that I can go through every one. It seems like there is some dependancy between the firmwares and I cannot upgrade to the latest directly.
Thanks. Looks like the issue is resolved as obitalk got me updated to the latest firmware. You guys are awesome!!!
So upgrading from 5.0.0 (Build: 2436) to 5.0.0 (Build: 2486) allowed the OBiTALK portal to complete the firmware update to the latest release?
For a minute there I thought your OBi1032 was faulty! I'm pleased to hear that it's all sorted for you now.

I have the exact same device and seem to be having the exact same problems you did.
I did upgrade to the 2486 firmware and it did finally take that, but after i have not been able to get the latest firmware to take. I had previously talked to obitalk and they said that since my warranty was up id have to purchase a $15 warranty in order for them to help me. Is that what you ended up doing? Any help would be great, i need this thing for work.
Hi,
I am trying to setup my obi1032 with Google Voice, and I am running into some issues. I keep getting the backed off error. So I thought I would upgrade the firmware and see if that helps. But I am not able to update the firmware from the current one:
HardwareVersion 1.3 help
SoftwareVersion 5.0.0 (Build: 2486)
I have tried factory resetting, deleting and adding the device to no avail. I have tried updating the firmware from the ObiTalk as well as from the local web page. Nothing seems to work. Can anyone please help?
Thanks,
That is very, very old firmware. Where did you buy this phone, and when?

April 2015, I think on Amazon. We bought an Obi202 along with it. That one worked. The 1032 never did, just sat on my desk forever. I am trying to set this up now and running into these issues.
Assuming that the phone is plugged into power and Ethernet, pick up the phone. Does it have a dialtone? If so, key in ***1 and listen to the IP address it plays back. Use your web browser and go to that IP address. Does it open the configuration web page? If so, attempt to upload the versions that Paul linked in his post. What, exactly, in detail, happens?

Do as Steve stated in his post. You should see the phones web based GUI as shown here: https://www.ukvoipforums.com/emulators/OBi1032/
Click on
System Management > Device UpdateUpdate the phones firmware manually by selecting one of the above firmware revisions I posted in my previous post...
FYI, I had this issue for at least a year+ and didn't have time to mess with it until now.
HERE'S WHAT I DID.
Started with Software 5-0-0-2318 (probably is what shipped on it in 2015)
Tried to update to 5-1-1-4983 and kept getting system busy try again. ???
Bought the $15 support via amazon. Tried 5-1-1-4983....still no go ??? ???
Found this thread ;D
Downloaded 5-0-0-2436 and successfully installed it. :)

Downloaded 5-0-0-3497 and successfully installed it. :)
Tried 5-1-1-4983....AND BAM! It upgraded and google voice successfully updated and is working great. :) :) :)
Might have wasted $15 but IDK as long as this is working
