Title: I'm in the US, can I change settings on grandparent's Obi110 in Germany?
Post by: onepolarbear on December 18, 2017, 10:17:17 AM
I gave my old Obi110 to my grandparents in Germany.  They only use it to call me or get calls from me. (Obi number to Obi number)

I originally  set it up when they were here in the US.  When they returned to Germany, they connected it to a corded phone and the router.   It has worked very well.

If I need to make any changes in the settings to that Obi110, do I just log into my Obitalk account and do it? (without needing to ask them to do anything on the device itself?)

Thanks!

Yes you can do that PROVIDED you did NOT DISABLE Obitalk Provisioning.  That can only be enabled or disabled using the device's local management interface, not via the Obitalk portal.

The default is that Obitalk Provisioning is enabled, so unless someone disabled it you should be fine.
