Title: Obi1000 Contact Groups, Service, and .csv imports
Post by: Hegemon on January 17, 2018, 01:09:02 PM
I'm trying to find an easy way to set my contacts to a specific service or line based on the group they belong to.

I have two google voice lines: Work (SP1) and Personal (SP2).  I'd like to set any contact in the group "work" to service SP1.  All others to SP2.  That way the contact is automatically dialed from the correct service number.

I don't see a way to link groups to a specific line.  Barring that, is there a way I can include the service per contact in pb.csv?

I suppose I could append **2 to all of my personal numbers but I'd rather not.

Thanks!

You can use the User Defined Digit Maps to do that although:

1.  Setting them up and keeping them up to date is not user friendly.

2.  There is a finite limit on the number of contact numbers you can store.  I don't know what that is but I expect more than 100.

You don't need to use just two of the User Defined Maps.  Put the SP1 numbers into one lot of maps and the SP2 numbers into another lot of maps,  Then use the OutboundCallRoute to route them appropriately.
