Title: Obi100 failing echo test. Called party can't hear me.
Post by: JanMan on February 14, 2018, 03:48:47 PM
Ive had my obi100 set up with anveo since November 2017.  Recently I noticed that on outgoing calls the called party doesn't hear me.  I did a factory reset of the obi.  When I did the echo test, my voice was not echoed back.

I've tried configuring SP1 with both Anveo and GV.  Both get set up successfully although I expected GV not to work, I was surprised. In both cases, I can receive calls just fine and voice is working both directions.  But if I initiate the call, I can only hear the called party.  They cannot hear me.

Any clues as to what's going on with this?  Thanks.

Figured it out.

I was using a 2 handset VTech DECT 6 cordless phone.  It was failing the echo test when I called out.  I tried both handsets.

Switched to a corded phone and everything worked OK.  So figured it was a problem with the VTech.  Unplugged it, plugged it back in and echo test started working again.  Strange.
