My service provider uses the star button for functions such as voicemail. Unfortunately, my Obi202 intercepts the *. Is there any code I can use to be able to "pass through" a * so it is not intercepted?
Please give more details about when you need to use the * and do you need an isolated star or a star plus other digits?
Commonly voicemail commands are used after a number has been dialled and has been answered. At that stage an Obi is passing keypresses to the other end and not intercepting them.
Actually I need to send *123 Which is my provider's code for voicemail. Unfortunately, this needs to be sent when you get the dial tone. It tells my SP to connect me with my voicemail.

We just had a discussion about this about a week ago.
I'd say this is the most elegant solution - https://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=783.msg88477#msg88477 . Does not involve messing with dial plans and other such headaches. Change the number after sp to whatever slot your voip provided uses. You can then program *123 into the voicemail key on the handset (if supported) for single button dialing.
Knowing who the voip/voicemail provider is helps too.
