Title: pulse dialing and the obitalk 200
Post by: dgodwin on December 05, 2018, 06:36:45 PM
We had a obi100 (RIP) and a pulse tone converter to utilize the rotary phone mounted in the kitchen.  With the obi100 it was plug and play but with the new obi200 we just installed, we're having a few issues.  Looking into the setting I noticed that in the last dialed number, it showed that multiple digits were registered 2 or 3 times.  Can anyone give me some insight on which settings to adjust to fix this?  I searched and didn't see any recent threads.  Thanks in advance!

That's the fault of your pulse-to-tone converter's lack of adherence to DTMF standards.

I have a 1947 Western Electric model 302 rotary phone with a Rotatone converter built in, and it's connected to an OBi 200.  It works fine at the default settings.

Do you still have the OBi100? You might be able to attach the converter to the OBi100 and route calls to the OBi200.
