Title: Skype Connect on Obi110 help
Post by: AChan on September 24, 2011, 11:05:16 PM
I sign up the Skype Connect (business sip service). I have the following information:
SIP User: 9905xxxxxyyyyy
Password: xyz
Skype Connect address: sip.skype.com
UDP Port: 5060
I use the Obitalk to setup the service, status says "Registered".
When I call the SkypeIn number from other phone, it rings, yet cannot talk, only silence.
When calling out, it says the call is rejected.
Please help.

What is the outbound calling format?  is it 10/11 digits for US/Canada and 011+ for international?  If not, what is the exact format that's needed to make calls?

the format is US 10 digits.

I try the GV account on the same Obi110 and it works perfect. Yet for business purpose, we want to try Skype. In Skype web, Skype Connect is a SIP service for Asterisk. We don't have a Asterisk server or use PBXes. I hope Obihai is the solution.

The OBi's default DigitMap for SP1/SP2 accepts 10- or 11-digits and then sends it to the provider as 11-digits (leading 1 added on 10-digit numbers).

Take a look at the OBi's Call History and you might get more clues as to what is happening on incoming and outgoing calls.
