Title: Table of Dial Tone / Ringback Tone / Busy Tone etc. Settings for All Countries? Post by: twillkickers on November 01, 2019, 07:23:28 pm Is there a table out there somewhere that shows the values to enter into the Dial Tone / Ringback Tone / Busy Tone fields on the Obi's settings to replicate the tones from various countries/networks? Would be fun to experiment with dial tones and such. Also, what is the syntax of the number? Right now, my busy tone is set to 480-18,620-18;10;(.5+.5)
What does each number in that formula mean? Thanks for the advice! Title: Re: Table of Dial Tone / Ringback Tone / Busy Tone etc. Settings for All Countries? See page 163 onwards of https://www.obitalk.com/info/documents/admin_guide/OBiDeviceAdminGuide.pdf for an explanation of the numbers. Title: Re: Table of Dial Tone / Ringback Tone / Busy Tone etc. Settings for All Countries? Post by: dvddavid on November 20, 2019, 08:41:15 am I'm gonna butt in on this thread here a bit...I'm looking to have my handsets ring in a UK tone.
I found this somewhere searching for tone sequences and it seems to have what I'm looking for, but I don't know what to do with the info I found. Is this helpful:: [general] country=uk [uk] description = United Kingdom ringcadence = 400,200,400,2000 dial = 350+440 specialdial = 350+440/750,440/750 busy = 400/375,0/375 congestion = 400/400,0/350,400/225,0/525 specialcongestion = 400/200,1004/300 unobtainable = 400 ring = 400+450/400,0/200,400+450/400,0/2000 callwaiting = 400/100,0/4000 specialcallwaiting = 400/250,0/250,400/250,0/250,400/250,0/5000 creditexpired = 400/125,0/125 confirm = 1400 switching = 400/200,0/400,400/2000,0/400 info = 950/330,0/15,1400/330,0/15,1800/330,0/1000 record = 1400/500,0/60000 stutter = 350+440/750,440/750 Title: Re: Table of Dial Tone / Ringback Tone / Busy Tone etc. Settings for All Countries? I pointed the OP to page 163 in the Admin Guide that I linked to. You can use that too if you find the durations as well as the tone frequencies. I see the link you posted. If I import that configuration file would it overwrite what I have now? In a way its a testament to how reliable my oBi device is that I set it up now over 2 years ago and never have had to mess with it in all this time so I don't want to change any of the config I did back then just for something as silly as a ringtone. It will overwrite the tones, dial plan, time zone etc stuff. It will not touch your service providers.I see the link you posted. However the xml file can be opened with a text editor and it is a doddle to find the tone strings you want and one at a time copy/paste the values into the respective places in the config page in whichever of portal expert mode or local device GUI you have previously decided to use. For examples OBi Tone Profile A Configuration --> <Object> <Name>VoiceService.1.VoiceProfile.1.Tone.Description.1.</Name> <ParameterValueStruct> <Name>TonePattern</Name> <Value>350-19,440-22;10</Value> </ParameterValueStruct> OBi Ring Profile A Configuration --> <Object> <Name>VoiceService.1.VoiceProfile.1.Line.1.Ringer.Description.1.</Name> <ParameterValueStruct> <Name>RingName</Name> <Value>UK-1</Value> </ParameterValueStruct> <ParameterValueStruct> <Name>RingPattern</Name> <Value>60;(.4+.2,.4+2)</Value> </ParameterValueStruct> </Object> Title: Re: Table of Dial Tone / Ringback Tone / Busy Tone etc. Settings for All Countries? So lets say I want all my calls from whatever provider I have that ring on phone 2 where do I find them in the expert config section? In the physical interfaces, phone 2 settings or in the Ring Settings, Ring Profile settings? Or is it somewhere different altogether? Oh and thank you for the help, I'm probably asking some real newbie questions. Title: Re: Table of Dial Tone / Ringback Tone / Busy Tone etc. Settings for All Countries? Post by: drgeoff on November 20, 2019, 01:35:40 pm A doddle is a completely different thing from a doodle.
The tones are what you hear from the phones earpiece. You appear to have an OBi202 with 2 phone ports. Under Physical Interfaces you have the 2 phone ports. Each of those has its own page. Each page has a section "Calling Features" with the setting "ToneProfile" where you can select A or B. Further down the main menu is "Tone Settings" with separate pages for Tone Profile A and Tone Profile B. That is where you put eg 350-19,440-22;10 for UK/BT Dial Tone. Ring settings determine the cadence of the phone bell or whatever noise maker is activated on an incoming call. Under Voice Services, each SPn Service has its own page where the 3rd down line is X-RingProfile. Choice of A or B. Further down that same section is X_DefaultRing where you can choose from 1 to 10. Definitions of those are reached by the main menu, Ring Settings. Scroll down past the Call Waiting Tone definitions and you will see the 10 configurable Ring Patterns where you can enter eg 60;(.4+.2,.4+2) for UK/BT ringing. |
