Thanks, Grant! I previously assumed that duplicate posts were somehow related to newbies posting for the first time, but given that I have thousands of posts, I'll toss out that judgment.
When I was posting, the first two attempts returned an error page, and I assumed it failed. Apparently, the error message is bogus. Since the forum software being used here is incredibly downlevel, I guess we have to accept these problems.
That being said, the newbies also think that when seeing the error they think the post was not valid and they immediately repost. I have never had a double post as I have been aware of this problem from the beginning. I think their forum software is flawed and I don't think they will replace it.

Just curios does all the functions of the obi202 work on the 212?
Meaning if I wanted it specifically for 2 lines, would you suggest I go with the 202 or would the 212 suffice as well?
The OBi212 only has one phone port that may be internally wired the same as the Phone1 port on the 202. If that is the case, it would work with a 2-Line phone or 2 separate phones using an RJ11 splitter. The OBi212 like the OBi202 can use up to 4 ITSP providers.

It is unlikely that the phone port on a 212 is wired like that. To support two independent phones requires additional interface circuitry compared to one.
I don't have a 212 myself but it would be a trivial test for someone who does to provide a definitive answer.
I believe all Obi's have 2 ring profiles. So a user can set it up so your phone would ring say 1 long ring for the line and two short rings for the ITSP. Or in the case of the 200, two different ITSP's. I had my 110 set up that way for a long time. It's like having a two line phone with a standard phone set. It does help if your phone has a flash button. Most modern ones do.

Yes they have 2 ring profiles but each of those has 10 cadences which are independently configurable. So in theory 7 different ring patterns are easily available to enable audible differentiation of callls coming in on the 4 Voice Services, Obitalk network, Bluetooth connected cellphone and POTS line. Whether users can recognise that many is a different matter.
A furthermore issue is that some modern phones have sounders which do not follow the ringing cadence. They use the presence of any ringing to initiate and the maintain the playing of their own sound sequence.
