Title: What DSCP Classification do Obi Devices use?
Post by: sclark on September 27, 2020, 01:45:43 PM
I know the OBI device can handle QoS when placed between the modem and the router. Unfortunately, my modem and router are one combined device so I can't just shove the obi device between the two. Fortunately, the router can enable QoS using DSCP classifications (see attachment). I've searched forums and user guides but can't find out what DSCP classification the OBI device uses in it's IP header when making calls.

Does anyone know which DSCP classification is used in the IP header for OBi call traffic?

In case it matters, I'm using an Obi 202 with Google Voice as the main service(s)

Still hoping for some guidance on this. Not having much luck at guessing the correct DSCP Classification the OBI uses.

QoS settings for the OBiTALK devices is unnecessary.  Modern ISP broadband has plenty of capacity to handle all the traffic.
