Title: Problem! The number you have dialed has calling restrictions
Post by: Dygital on September 27, 2021, 11:17:55 AM
My callers - most or all using Verizon or Xfinity Mobile - cannot reach my GV number. They get a message saying "The number you have dialed has calling restrictions"  I have no restrictions I am aware of.  Is anyone having the same issues and is there a way to resolve this on my end? Thank you!

Yep, I have the same problem.  I can't call my Google Voice number (which uses an Obi200) from my Xfinity Mobile cell (which I think uses Verizon).  I get the "calling restrictions" message.

There is a thread on the GoogleVoice forum at reddit - several people are having problems.

Go to https://status.bandwidth.com/ for status.  Google Voice uses bandwidth.com to provide the service, and the current status shows lots of service disruptions today.

The good news for me is that all the robocalls from India seem to be getting through  ;)

Known issue.  Google and its carrier partner have been working on this since Saturday.  There is no estimate when this will be resolved.

No need for more posts about it; it's being worked.
