we are in our 70's and using the forum and "sherman" we have been so pleased since setting up our Obi100 and google voice. firmware update went very fast with our lenovo laptops and windows 7. we didn't know how much we missed having our home phone after earning mobile phones. our Obi phone works perfect in all our condo rooms where we have phone jacks. we were told how to run just one single "pair" from our phone company box to our dsl Q1000 actiontec router. that freed up all our wall phone jacks so we just plugged in a dual telephone line out to one cordless phone where we have the router/modem and the other line out to the wall telephone jack in the large BR where we have the router. now all our home telephone jacks are "hot" and all have phones. At the new year 2013 and if GV changes it's plan, we will check in with the forum so they will tell us what to use next even if it's monthly fee based as we have come to appreciate our Obi home phone and the wonderful forum so much. thank you all.
