Title: How do I adjust for best performance on a jittery internet connection?
Post by: chmedly on January 16, 2013, 02:37:23 PM
I have Clear Wimax wireless internet (Clearwire) at a couple locations.  I typically get at least 3-4Mbit download and 1-1.5Mbit upload on speed tests.  At both of these locations I hear the caller just fine but they often complain of a broken sound.  Sort of garbled and dropping out, but generally useable.  I ran a test on the connection at one of the voip websites and the results were that the jitter level was near the limit.  Is there a way to adjust the under hood settings in the Obi boxes to improve the performance? I think that a bit of additional latency would be fine if that is the tradeoff.
