Title: Automatically route all calls to SIP?
Post by: a8ree on February 19, 2013, 05:30:21 AM
Hi,

I am considering moving away from my local telco provider for all external calls. When I have been looking around I found the Obi devices however I don't know much about how they work.

From what I gather, I can plug the device into my PSTN line and configure my SIP provider. Using codes **x I can select the SIP provider that I want to use.

I don't want ANY calls being routed via the PSTN provider. Instead, I only want to use the PSTN for incoming calls.

Is there a way with the OBI systems to make the default routing to be via my SIP provider?

a8ree - welcome to the forum.

With any OBi device you can set any service to be your "Primary Line". This is the service that will be used when you dial out with no **x codes. So the answer is yes.

You will need to buy an OBi110 to connect your PSTN line.
