Title: Google Voice stuck ¨Connecting to 67.-41.65.-126¨ Post by: joebi on May 11, 2013, 03:01:55 pm I set up an obi110 in December with Google Voice (primary) and a SIP provider (backup) for outbound
and landline for incoming. In the beginning outgoing calls would go through GV fine, but lately I noticed a lot of calls going though the backup. While I was investigating yesterday some outgoing calls went through GV, but I updated to the latest firmware just to be sure (***6). Since then GV does not work. It gets stuck connecting to the nonsensical address 67.-41.65.-126. I removed the device from ObiTalk, did a factory reset, added the device to ObiTalk, reconfigured Google Voice, and no progress. Tried to change DNS server to 8.8.8.8 and 4.2.2.2 and still no luck, GV stuck connecting. Incoming calls to the GV number ring only for the caller and after about 25 s go to voicemail. How do I reconnect to Google Voice? Title: Re: Google Voice stuck ¨Connecting to 67.-41.65.-126¨ Post by: joebi on May 11, 2013, 07:06:34 pm OK, found that my router was intercepting DNS and resolving using OpenDNS so the
4.2.2.2 or 8.8.8.8 settings at the obi were ineffective. Once I disabled interception by the router the obi connected to GV again without problems. Wondering... *How* does OpenDNS screw up obi connection to Google Voice? Title: Re: Google Voice stuck ¨Connecting to 67.-41.65.-126¨ Post by: superdesi on May 25, 2013, 05:33:47 pm Hi there,
I'm having the same issue that you were. GV keeps saying connecting to that same 67... address you had mentioned above. What do you mean by disabling interception? I am currently trying to put my obi as the DMZ to see if that will help. Can someone please explain where to disable DNS interception in the router - is that only for select ports that the OBI uses, or is it a global router setting? |
