Title: Can I overwrite GV default Caller ID value?
Post by: Igor on June 22, 2013, 11:13:04 PM
I'm from Canada so can't get local DID from GV, but trying to use it for my outbound calls.
Problem is that Caller ID value for those calls would be default
"1-760-705-8888" and some local private users could just ignore such long distance calls, considering them as a spam.

Is it possible for outbound calls that made through the basic GV account to push custom Caller ID value "My Name", or only option is to use local SIP provider for such calls?

Google Voice does not allow you to change caller ID.  There is an option to set outgoing caller ID on the Obi but many providers like Google just ignore that setting.
