Title: OBi110 portability - using it out of the country
Post by: Reuven on April 25, 2014, 12:30:59 pm
I am a currently Google Voice user being forced to change to one of the Obihi recommended VOIP services.

From time to time I travel to South America and Europe, for several weeks at the time. In the past I used MajicJack to make and receive phone calls while away.

Questions:

* Would my OBi110 be as portable so I can hook it up to a home network in Europe and use it like I used MajicJack?

* If yes, would it work with any VOIP provider? Which?

* If not, buying another OBi110 device to use from abroad to hook up to my OBi100 service at home be an option?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that the answers to your questions are Yes and Yes.

All you need to do is hook up to high-speed internet and you can make and receive calls as you would at home.
