Title: Call forwarding from Portal
Post by: Prez on October 31, 2014, 08:57:09 PM
I have my obi100 set up with my Google Account.

I would like to forward calls received to my Google Voice Phone number a
cell phone, however I would like to set up the forwarding using the OBI portal
(not the phone).

Please guide me on how to set up the forwarding using OBI portal.

(I tried CallForwardingUnconditional and set the number up (1XXXXXXXXXX) and
it did not work.)

Forwarding introduces additional latency. Why not just set Google Voice for simultaneous ringing and answer on whichever phone is convenient? That said, if there is some reason you need to do OBi forwarding, it could be accomplished via InboundCallRoute on the appropriate sp. For example, if you wanted to to forward all incoming calls from GV number 1112223456 (on sp1) to cell number 2223334567, try something like this:

X_InboundCallRoute={(xx.):sp1(2223334567)},{>(1112223456):ph}

Your post is vague.  What is your desired goal?

1)  When someone calls your GV number, you want it to ring on your OBi-attached phone, and you also want it to ring on your mobile phone.  If so, then this is the normal way that Google Voice works.  Add the mobile phone as a forwarding number, here:  https://www.google.com/voice#phones

2) You want ALL calls made to your GV number to ring only to your mobile phone, and not to your OBi-attached phone.  This isn't how GV is designed to work.  You can, however, go to the same GV web page as above, add the mobile phone, and then remove the check mark next to Google Chat.  Your OBi will no longer ring, but the mobile phone will ring.
