Hi,

Presently I have grandstream HT503 which is registered with a SIP provider from a different country.  The problem is that I want to cancel my land line phone with BELL (Canada) and have a second SIP provider (freephoneline.com). Although it says that it can have up to 2 SIP profile I cannot make it work. Can OBI100/110 be configured to work with two separate SIP providers and one wireless phone receiver?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

An OBi can definitely support two different SIP providers, one on SP1 + ITSPA and one on SP2 + ITSPB.

Don't forget to set:

Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> X_ServProvProfile : B

If a 'wireless phone receiver' is a cordless phone, the OBi works fine with those also.

SIP Provider 1:

Service Providers -> ITSP Profile A -> General -> Name : (SIP Provider 1 Name)
Service Providers -> ITSP Profile A -> SIP -> ProxyServer : (SIP Provider 1 Proxy Server Hostname)

Voice Services -> SP1 Service -> X_ServProvProfile : A
Voice Services -> SP1 Service -> AuthUserName : (SIP Provider 1 username)
Voice Services -> SP1 Service -> AuthPassword : (SIP Provider 1 password)
Voice Services -> SP1 Service -> CallerIDName : (SIP Provider 1 CallerID)

SIP Provider 2:

Service Providers -> ITSP Profile B -> General -> Name : (SIP Provider 2 Name)
Service Providers -> ITSP Profile B -> SIP -> ProxyServer : (SIP Provider 2 Proxy Server Hostname)

Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> X_ServProvProfile : B
Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> AuthUserName : (SIP Provider 2 username)
Voice Services -> SP2 Servier -> AuthPassword : (SIP Provider 2 password)
Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> CallerIDName : (SIP Provider 2 CallerID)

Physical Interfaces -> PHONE Port -> PrimaryLine : (SP1 Service or SP2 Service)

Thanks for the quick reply.
Just want to make sure I got it right before pulling the trigger on OBI100.
So I can set up obi to work with 2 different sip providers using just one phone handset plugged to phone jack of OBI. By working I mean, I can make and receive calls on both sip accounts. But how can I make the outbound calls. How can I switch between sip accounts? How can I tell I want to use sip1 or sip2.

And is it possible on OBI to forward calls from sip1 to sip2. Let say I receive calls on SIP1 and if nobody is picking up , after certain # of rings, it transfer the call to SIP2 internally?

Thanks again for the help.
I find this forum very helpful

The OBi supports one single-line telephone.  Incoming calls from either SIP provider will ring this telephone (with call waiting if a second call comes in).

By default, outgoing calls will be made through the SIP provider selected by:

Physical Interfaces -> PHONE Port -> PrimaryLine : (SP1 Service or SP2 Service)

You can force a call through SP1 by dialing **1 + number or SP2 by dialing **2 + number.

Incoming calls can be forwarded unconditionally, on busy, or on no answer after a specified number of rings.
