Hi.

Last couple of days I was trying this instruction to connect a SIP phone to Obi202 and use Google voice on this IP phone.
http://www.obihai.com/docs/OBi-VoIP-Device-Attach-Legacy-IP-Phone-Workbook-v1-0.pdf

But it did not work and I was told this way does not work any more.

It is true?

drgeoff:
I think it is not true.

I also think you don't understand that GV is not SIP based and hence won't work on a bog-standard IP phone even when the OBi202 is working as a SIP proxy.

Maybe.

But what this manual for?

Now I use simonics.com with IP phone and it works as I expect. But I would prefer Obitalk in this case. Am I on a wrong way?

azrobert:
If you haven't tried, use the 2nd option to setup your phone.

Quote:
On the IP phone, set-up the following parameters:
EXT1/Proxy = 192.168.1.20:5063 (ie: IP address of OBi202)

Yes, I also would prefer the second option and I did exactly the same...
