VoIP.ms Caller filtering

I did a request last night. Researching the issue, I found you can send all traffic to voicemail and filter by callerid  for regular routing. With a 100+ entry phonebook the other way is much better. We have been using the service for a few days now and have been very happy with it. Plan on porting to them today. Probably wont use SMS but the voicemail is good. The call detail records are awesome. If porting goes well we will be extremely pleased.

Porting was a piece of cake. Communication of the process was excellent. Service is working well. I already miss our phonebook only calls though. We have in only 3 days received numerous unsolicited calls. I see many people don't think white listing is a good idea. This is a residential line and  we have over 100 contacts in the book. Worst case the call went to voicemail. With email notification of a voicemail message, it wasn't a worry that we may have missed anything important very long.

By "unsolicited" do you mean telemarketers/robodialers?  If so, it is quite easy to set up Nomorobo using Ring Groups on VoIP.ms.

callhome:
Thanks Taoman! I never heard of NOMOROBO. It was easy to set up, we'll see what happens.

I set up NOMOROBO on my 2 Voip.Ms lines. The install went smoothly.

It will be interesting to see if the calls stop.
