Hello everybody!
I have spent for about a week already looking for a solution but failed to find smth certain. Hope you can advice smth for our small office in USA (local calls only). Here is what we would like to get:

  • Call forwarding
  • Call history
  • Block caller
  • Call Recording (always, not just by button)
  • IVR (custom voice menu: press 1 for ... press 2 for...)
  • Voicemail
  • voicemail greetings depended on business hours (in/after)
  • Voicemail transcription (in text)
  • Business hours (when phone should ring and when voicemail/call forwarding)

Most of these (except those which are in bold) can be done by Google Voice + OBi202 + our analog office phone.
So, there is no much need to use another service (a cloud ATS). But still, if we wish to get all these - which service we should use? As I understand there may be two type of ways:
1) A service + OBi202 + our analog office phone.
2) Google Voice + a service + OBi202 + our analog office phone.

What service could you recommend and what type of connection it will be (with or without GV)?

All but the recording are standard with Voip.Ms and perhaps other voip providers.

Does Voip.Ms has Voicemail transcription (in text)?

Check out the Voip.ms support Wiki it will tell you everything that you need to know.

The first sentence of the Voicemail section:

"VoIP.ms has an Advanced Voicemail feature that is free to use, and you also have the option to forward your messages to your email address as an attachment."

I have been using Voip.ms for over two years.

Good luck!

Ok, so, the most popular/common problem is Call Recording. May be you could advise us another service which has all these features (including Call Recording) please?

I'm sorry, I missed that part. No, but it will email the voicemail to you as an audio file. Perhaps a way to send the unanswered call to GV Voicemail for that.

I see. Ok, thank you!

And could you please advise me a service for only "fax-to-email"?

Lavarock7

CallCentric has a free Fax to Email AND if you choose a NYC number you get it for free. Otherwise you buy a phone number and have it answer the fax call. http://www.callcentric.com/faq/30#205

Voip.Ms is testing a Fax to email service. http://wiki.voip.ms/article/Virtual_Fax

Very interesting, thank you!

BTW, does CallCentric have all of the requirements from the very first message of the topic?
