Sound Quality Choppy When Uploading GDrive Files

The sound quality on my OBi is poor when I do a GDrive sync. I have throttled back the speed to only 500k/500k. I have FiOS 50M/50M so that should be minimal.
Even so while syncing, people tell me my voice is choppy. Any fixes that anyone could recommend would be helpful.
