I am setting up an OBi 110 in Argentina and I am not sure what the correct settings are for this countries Caller ID. If someone knows can you let me know? The second question on this issue is, do I need to set the Phone setings (FSK Bell 202) to the same method as the Line settings (FSK V.23). The phone I am using is a USA cordless phone so I am not sure if I need the phone set for FSK Bell 202 or FSK V.23.

You asked part of this question some months ago when you said that you thought that Argentina uses FSKD.  I suggested you try FSK on the OBi.  Googling does not yield what FSKD means.  Perhaps the 'D' means Dual-tone which is one method of signalling that the FSK data is following.  You did not reply to that post.  On the LINE port Try FSK with Bell 202 and V.23 and see if either works for the OBi to get the incoming CallerID.

There is no requirement to set the methods on the LINE and PHONE ports to the the same.  If using a USA sourced phone I would try the FSK Bell202 and After first ring combination of settings on the PHONE port.

Thanks, sorry about the prior post, was traveling and forgot about it. I will give each setting a try and let you know the results.
Thanks again

Now in Brazil and still can't seem to get Caller ID working in either country. I found a document put out by Cisco for there old SPA-400 but there doesn't seem to be a match for what the OBi lists. For Argentina they say European(FSK) and Brazil they say ETSI DTMF. Can anyone "translate" the Cisco description to OBi settings?
If anyone is interested here is the link to the Cisco documentation: https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/36976/spa400-caller-id-localization-configuration

European FSK.  Try FSK(V.23)
ETSI DTMF. Try the two DTMF options on the OBi but note the " I've read that there are in fact 5 varieties of DTMF system, with the Brazilian version being particularly weird." sentence in https://web.archive.org/web/20150214083456/http://www.ainslie.org.uk:80/callerid/cli_faq.htm.

Thanks, will give that a try. By the way would you suggest that I change the settings for the phone to the same settings for the line? The phone is a USA cordless phone that I brought to Brazil. Also, do you the phone setting should be before the first ring or after.
Thanks again for the help.

If the phone was sold for use in the US leave the OBi PHONE port settings at the defaults.  There is no automatic requirement that LINE and PHONE port Caller ID settings be the same.

I have the OBI200 I used to get the caller Id name & number for the contacts I have saved in the past to my google contacts, lately I lost this feather I don't know why and how to make it work again! Now I only see on my phone only the number of the incoming call not the name. Does anyone experience the same issue? How could I get it fixed?

FYI the setting I used and the setting that worked for Brazil Caller ID is DTMF (Finland,Sweden)
