Hello Obi Community,

Long time lurker.  I've gotten a lot of information reading this forum so I hope you can help me out.

I own a obi 200 and love it.  I also own a windows 10 pc.

Recently I wanted to add a softphone to the windows machine. I choose x-lite (4.9) and obiapp for pc and
followed the instructions followed on obiapp for pc forum.

This works, but after 24 seconds on a call, it disconnects for no apparent reason. I am assuming the obiapp is at fault since it is no longer supported.

But I understand that obi 200 does not require the obi app to use with a softphone.  I tried the instructions here: https://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=8886.0 but the x-lite will not connect at all.

Can anyone successfully using x-lite with obi care to share their configs?
:)

Thanks

drgeoff

What is your objective in using a softphone with your OBi200?  What is the extra functionality or convenience that you want to achieve?

A long time ago I had trouble with X-Lite and never tried again. I use Phonerlite from a PC.

Convenience mostly.

This process seems easy enough and straight forward especially with the obiapp for pc.  But, as I indicated, it appears to drop calls at exactly 24 seconds.

I have seen phonerlite used by others.  Still doesn't explain why x-lite fails.  The configurations are almost identical.

I believe the settings in the obi must be the cause.
