Reffering to this previous post: https://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=8914.0;wap2

I have a 2 line phone line (L1/L2) with TimeWarnerCable that has 1 telephone number associated with it. I will be switching it to a mobile wireless and then Google Voice account. (SP1)

I also have a fax machine line which is also 1 number and will be switching to a GV account. (SP2)

So if i put my 2 line phone line (L1/L2) into Phone 1 and my fax into Phone 2, will SP1 (L1/L2) act accordingly?

What I mean is, if a call is placed on L1/L2 by two people (whether incoming or outgoing) with this be able to be done simultaneously with a fax machine working as well?

Or, as the forum above states, will I need to put SP1 on both Phone 1 / Phone 2 of an Obi202 and then purchase a SEPERATE Obi202 for SP2 on the fax machine?Seems to me that I need 3 lines to match the 3 I currently have which it doesn't look like a single Obi202 can do on its own.

Appreciate any help and let me know if I need to clear anything up, just looking to save some money here and make the jump to VoIP from the $150 a month I spend on phone lines.

You really need a 2nd device. You can share a phone and fax on a single line by using distinctive ring, but you won't be able to receive or send a fax when L2 is on an active call. You can use an OBi200 for the fax and it's on sale until tomorrow.
