Yealink T23P fails to register with Obi200

I've been reading up a lot, and trying a million different things, throwing everything at the wall, and nothing is sticking.

I need help.

Essentially, I am trying to use an Obi200 with the phone in the topic.  I have Google Voice set up on sp1.

I started following this guide: https://voxilla.com/2011/02/15/how-to-obify-your-ip-phone-no-asterisk-involved/  This explains the setup for a Cisco IP phone, and I don't seem to have any way to enter the dial plan as described there, but it otherwise lines up.

And got nowhere.  I've done some searching in the forums here, and this seemed the most relevant: https://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=5684.0

But they are trying to set up with another service, and using other SP lines and something doesn't seem to match up.  I've tried adapting the settings, but still no luck.

I just want Google Voice on SP1, and the Yealink T23P on SP2.  (Using the landline hookup works fine, but that isn't what I want to use.  I mention it only to prove that Google Voice is set up ok.)

Can someone tell me what I need to set in the Obi200 and in the Yealink's setup to make them talk to each other?  There seems to be 4 billion different answers for what goes in each single field on both sides on the internet, and no combination I've found seems to work for me.

I think I've figured it out... keep bashing your head into the wall long enough, and sometimes things just work.

This thread is actually what helped me, even though it would seem to be a different setup: https://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=11592.msg76226#msg76226

Starting to think of this as no different from a softphone helped.  The key I believe was setting SP2 to look back on itself, and stop trying to register itself against the softphone, as the softphone was trying to register (even with registration not required) back to the obi200.  Or maybe the obi200 failed to save the setting of not requiring registration previously.

Either way, this setup should probably be the most broadly applicable.  The asterisk numbers that use obitalk for various services don't seem to work from the IP phone, but I believe that is down to the inbound call route in SP2.  May need to tweak that.

Looks like you've basically ended up with what is also described in http://web.archive.org/web/20160317011451/http://www.obihai.com/docs/OBi-VoIP-Device-Attach-Legacy-IP-Phone-Workbook-v1-0.pdf

Is that a bad thing?  When I hear legacy, I'm wondering if I'm missing out on any features.
