Hello

I have an OBi 1062, and I purchased a PoE injector (yet to arrive).  Do I simply use the existing wall wart to inject the power to the phone?

Thanks

No, the PoE injector comes with its own wall wart power supply, at a much higher voltage.  It plugs into the injector.  The power supply that comes with the 1062 is unused in this scenario.

Thanks

The manual seems to say little about PoE.  I don't want to blow it to smithereens with an overvoltage.

I purchased a TP-Link injector.

Yah, I think they assume it is one of those "if you are going to use this, then you know what you are doing" things.  Most PoE installations use large PoE switches to feed the power to many IP phones or cameras in a building.  The voltage is industry-standard, IEEE 802.3af.

I'm not using it now, but I did successfully use the TP-Link injector on my 1032 phone, so you'll be fine.
