No IP after power cycle or power failure...

My Firewall/Router is set to expressly power cycle once a week.

Even though I have set a static ip, subnet and dns servers on my device, my Obi202 still requires a reboot after the router power cycles. If I check the 202's network status, it returns a 0 IP status.

This also happens after a power failure.

From what I've read so far, setting a static IP is supposed to remedy this issue.

Is anyone else experiencing this or have  idea why this is happening?

Are you 100% certain that your OBi is configured to static network parameters?

@drgeoff  Yes, I'm positive...

I checked both WAN settings on obitalk.com (advanced config) and locally just to be sure (see attached pics),
static IP is indeed enabled in both instances.

I noticed the IP address was in the 100-255 range (118). Is that also the range for DHCP?

Do you see anything funny in the router logs like a PC or media device trying to grab that IP address?

When I do router setups I leave anything over 100 for DHCP and hardcode my IP addresses down in the 2-20 range.

Side note: While not your case, some people who move items from network to network assign the MAC address to a DHCP IP address on each network router. The equipment says it wants a DHCP address, the router looks at the MAC address and assigns the same IP each time.

@Lavarock7

Thanks for your suggestions!

Yes, 118 is within my router's DHCP assignment range: 2-254
I do have mac address reservation set for my obi202 and can see no IP conflicts with any other device on my local network. FWIW, every device on my network has mac/ip reservation set.

I'm totally baffled.
