OK, so as OBihai has announced the OBi100 & OBi110 are obsolete, and it is often repeated here in the forums, but then...
Why does OBihai still show it in their list of current products:
http://www.obihai.com/product-primer
Complete with a link to "Buy on Amazon" where it is still available for purchase?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0045RMEPI/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0045RMEPI&linkCode=as2&tag=obihatechn-20
Yes my OBi110 developed the backing off error today. I went with the Simonics gateway for now to get it back up and running. Guess I'll have to get a OBi200, but I don't relish going through all the necessary configuration I did to block the telemarketers. :-(
One if the reasons I did not upgrade earlier is because OBihai STILL shows it as a current model and STILL available for purchase... so how can it be obsolete?

This has been answered several times.
The listing you see on Amazon is being sold by a third party, who somehow acquired a batch of old stock, and is now selling it. Amazon sellers like Obihai have no control over Amazon's policy of lumping all sellers of a product into one listing (you'll typically see this with commodity Chinese stuff that people buy from Alibaba wholesale and then make a few bucks by selling the same thing as a half-dozen other sellers on Amazon).
It has no bearing whatsoever on the status of the 100/110 products, which are, in fact, end-of-life, no longer produced, sold, nor supported by Obihai.
It actually does have a bearing on OBI. If one goes to http://www.obihai.com/product-primer, the OBI 110 is listed as a product with an announcement sheet, a data sheet, and a link to Amazon. In other words, there is NOTHING about the product being discontinued, and OBI is currently forwarding people to an Amazon page to buy the product. Whether it's OBI selling the product on Amazon or not is irrelevant, OBI is sending people from its site to buy the product. In fact, OBI is earning a commission on each sale via the referral link. Total BS.
Lavarock7:
That listing on Amazon does say that Google Voice is not supported.

Point made several times. The issue is OBI not saying that is end of life, that GV is no longer supported by OBI AND then providing a link to buy it - ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE WITH A LINK THAT THEY GET A COMMISSION ON to boot.

It sure doesn't help Obihai's corner that the attached is still (8 December 2017) appearing on obitalk.com over which one would assume Obihai has complete control. "Works with Google Voice", "Officially supported" and images of an OBi100 and OBi110.

Yeah, depending on how you got there, I could see how this could be confusing.
ObiHai should really scrub their websites and clear them of any images of the 110. Essentially, if there is a white top box, it could lead a consumer to believe they have the correct device.
I've been dealing with the "Backing Off" error message on my 110 for at least two years, maybe longer. Considering I got the device just over 5 years ago for $40, I think I've gotten a really good deal, especially with Google Voice being free. I can't decide if I'm going to use the Simon GW (Wasn't here last time I had the problem) which seems like a great workaround or buy a new 200. Prices seem to have jumped a bit...I'm guessing more 110s are failing as Google finally updates all server certificates.
SteveInWA, I can't believe you're still here. I mean, I've seen you answering questions about the 110 for as long as I can remember. The fact that you don't just drop a canned response EVERY time this comes up is nothing short of pathological. Hats off to you for still trying. I would probably have brought down the banhammer several times by now, simply because I was tired of waking up in a cold sweat because my wife shook me up yet again for screaming "The 110 is dead, why can't you people see that!" in my sleep. At least, that's how I imagine your life going. So, thanks for fighting the good fight.
Obihai, clean up your site! You have good products at reasonable prices and the value is there. I'd hate for you to lose lots of sales from customer confusion. I realize you can't control Amazon or other third party sellers, but when your own site pushes people to the 110...you will make some people angry. It's been EoL for 1 year. Surely you've sold enough devices to pay the web guy to delete some text and links on your site? You're going to give SteveInWA an aneurysm and then who will provide free customer support?
