Simonics gateway or Google Chat down???

Hello,
I myself and a relative both have Obi 100's which we just upgraded to the Simonics GV gateway upon the recent EOL issues with GV and the Obi firmware. It worked flawlessly since that upgrade about a month ago.
Starting tonight, I was on a phone call for about 20 mins and then the call just went dead. I tried to redial, and I got the Obi attendant (I believe), saying "rejected by service provider, reason 500". I check my Obi dashboard which shows "connected" EDIT: "registered" on both SP1 and SP2. But SP2 has GV/Simonics, and does not work. SP1 works with CC as the SIP provider.
The relative has only the SP1 on GV/Simonics, and he gets the same result as me when he tries to dial.
Is there an issue today with the Simonics service or can anyone give any tips or a similar report?

edit to add: upon additional brainstorming, it occurred to me that there could also be a problem with Google Chat (or Google Talk?). Anyone please comment.

I have a softphone configured with simonics. Just tried both inbound and outbound. Both worked fine. Maybe your relative needs to reboot their obi?

It is both Obi units, mine and his. I just tried a power cycle, but it did not help.
Is there anything else I can try, or does anyone else have this issue?

You could try deauthorizing and reauthorize the gateway. This may change the sip password, so you'll need to update it. Beyond that I'm not sure what the issue is. No reports on dslr about this.

I just tried a softphone with gvgw and the call never even dialed. So yeah, something is off for sure. I suspect the gateway, but I really have no way to tell.
I suppose I could try to de-auth... but isn't it weird that it is happening on 2 different people with the same issues at the same time?
