So i noticed i was having issues with gv backing off and like others I have read all the posts about it and updated with the amber triangle on my obi202.   Cool... Solved everything. Or so I thought. I started getting offline emails and investigated. Again a yellow triangle.  This was happening "periodically".  Well I finally clued in to investigate the latest firmware link as instructed by https://www.obitalk.com/info/faq/Troubleshooting-sec/How-do-I-automate-upgrades

Its not the updated version. If I open the package its actually v3.1.1 (Build: 5463E).

So why won't obihai update our auto provision link? Had to go in expert and change settings to stop automatically looking for this update...

Further reading shows that it was a specific file and not a latest file for the 202 as listed here... http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=9.msg13#msg13

But if obi actually had pushed there update to FirmwareURL = http://www.obihai.com/firmware/OBi2-latest.fw
properly in the first place, many of us wouldn't even have noticed any issues. So is this a form of beta testing for them to see the aftermath if some people who have issues with it?

I confirm that this is required. I also configured my OBi200 for auto provisioning as described. This caused 3.1.1 to be reinstalled every night which, of course, is the version with the old Google certificates. Try to make a call: "No service configured". Look on OBiTalk and there is a yellow triangle to re-install 3.2.1. Install that, everything is working again. Rinse-and-repeat until I set auto provisioning back to the OBiTalk defaults.

Please do not confuse Auto Firmware Update with Obitalk Provisioning.
